First Studio, Phoenix, Arizona Built in 1949, First Studio was Arizona's first television station, broadcasting news of the world in black and white from the tallest antenna in the Southwest. It was an historic site for celebrities such as Harry Truman, Willie Mays, Muhammad Ali and Vincent Price. In 1961, John F Kennedy did his famous drive past the state's first TV station. And, it was home to a beloved children's tv show, Wallace and Ladmo.
